I know Carmelo went to Syracuse and all, but to refer to NY as home is a bit of a stretch:
After all, he really grew up in Baltimore and went to Towson Catholic High school.
Whatever, he just wants to play for a bigger franchise, which is fine, but just own up to that and save all the ‘I wanna go back home’ BS…
It’s a little risky, but there is a good case for going to the LA Clippers as the best choice for him.

What an awesome picture of the partial solar eclipse sunrise happening at the same time as the space station eclipse!

P.S. The space station eclipse only lasted for 0.86 seconds. Bravo to the ‘astrophotographer’: Thierry Legault.

Buying a new display or TV? Think you know everything there is to know about:
THINK AGAIN!
Hardware manufacturers are treating these numbers more like a sales/marketing tool than an actual apples to apples comparison that is useful to consumers.
Many of these numbers can’t be trusted. Manufacturers are now playing the same games that food companies play when they put labels like ‘organic’ or ‘low fat’ on their packaging.
After reading this article, I have come to the realization that nothing replaces sitting down in front of the product you want to buy and really checking it out in person.

I have worked with many that may still be using the Tortoise Client for SVN and this post may turn out to be tip for you. Even though it seemed to be the best at the time, I was never a big fan of the set up and configuration process of SVN with Tortoise Client; with all of the XML that needed to be manually edited, there was a lot of room for typos that were nearly impossible to find. Also, managing multiple solutions/projects on different versions of the .NET framework with different MSBUILD versions and parameters complicated matters even further. Add in different versions of FxCop and other third party tools and trying to trace through those XML instruction files to make changes or troubleshoot failing builds became a trick that only our most senior people could handle.
I just saw a Sublime advertisment on Scott Hanselman’s Podcast This Developer’s Life. Even though I am now using VS TFS for my projects, with my near disdain for the way I’ve used SVN in the past, I was curious enough to at least give Sublime a cursory look. After checking out their site and skimming the install and configuration documentation, I am convinced that if I ever need to use SVN in the future, I will definitely give Sublime a try.
Having used SVN extensively in the near past, maybe some of my former colleagues and partners that are currently using SVN would find it worth checking out Sublime…
